Conference Overview

The International Conference on Motion and Vibration Control (MOVIC) is an event that is organized once every two years. Its aim is to stimulate contacts between scientists active in the area of Motion and Vibration Control and engineers of virtually every field. It started in Yokohama, Japan in 1992 (Chairperson: K. Seto) and has been held in 7 countries so far. Since the establishment, the conference has developed into a very attractive and genuine international event for the advancement of Motion and Vibration Control Technology.

The 10th International Conference on Motion and Vibration Control (MOVIC 2010) will be held at Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, Japan, August 17-20, 2010.

The purpose of this MOVIC is to discuss recent progress in the fields of motion and vibration control and their application to the industrial, economical and environmental issues. It is hoped that the conference will encourage interdisciplinary researches as well as international cooperation in these fields.
